The dental pulp may be damaged or completely lost due to caries or trauma. In this case, in order to eliminate the infection and prevent its spread, these teeth should be treated with correct diagnosis and planning. If the dental pulp is irreversibly damaged, this tissue, most of which is located in the root part of the tooth, which is not visible in the mouth, is appropriately removed, the tooth canals are shaped with special devices and cleaned with special solutions, and filled with a tissue-friendly material in a sealed way. Root canal treatment, which was a feared treatment method in the past, has become a very comfortable and short-term treatment with the development of technology. Since the canal system of the tooth is a complex structure, treatments that are not ideal can result in failure and cause the loss of the tooth.
